A Valentines Date

Valentines day. You either love it, or hate it.
Girls will love it, if they're hopelessly romantic and love to be doted on. Guys will love it, if they're unselfish or gentlemanly type. Well, I am neither, thus I've always hated valentines day (don't we all, secretly?). Maybe that's coz I'm just a sour loser.

Australia makes Valentines Day simple. The traditional gift is flowers, and it couldn't be any easier (unless you steal them from someone's garden -_-). Just pull over to your favourite roadside flower stall on the way home from work. An Aussie institution, the Flower Hawkers have been saving lazy guys asses (and preventing domestic abuse) for decades. Nonetheless, in all my life I've never once received flowers. Ok yeh, when I was in hospital... is that what it takes!?!?!

But in Malaysia, Valentines is a hectic-whirlwind-high-pressure-headache (for the guys). KL is bustling with nostalgia, commercialism and great expectations (on the guys). Forgot about V-Day? Impossible (she'll never believe it), for on every corner, along every street are restaurant windows plastered with this years rip-off special menu, and a sea of promoters guilting you with cute and colourful balloons, toys and roses. She'll know you didn't forget, you were just lazy, now everywhere is booked out and KFC-logo-red is not quite romantic enough. Better enjoy those chicken breasts, they're the only ones you'll be seeing tonight!

But there's one girl who is not un-charmed by the glowing plastic tables of KFC, for this is where I had my tasty and romantic dinner date with my darling.

We started out as friends, but as the night progressed it was clear that there was magic in the air. Something special was going on! For it was my first ever proper valentines date! And I flew half way around the world to be there!

Frolicking by the lake, it was a little bit cold for skinny dipping, and Sam wasn't too keen on an impromptu Booze Cruise. Of course, we did watch the sunset together.

And of course, the exciting part... PRESENT TIME! It was the first time I've ever received a Valentines Day present in my whole life! Inside that blue gift-box pictured below is some sexy lingerie too inappropriate for this blog!
I specially picked out some G-Rated cute stuff in Singapore just for Sam, see the Gingerbread Man toy below, from Universal Studios - irresistibly cute (PS. Got a blog coming up about Universal Singapore too!).

In conclusion, I learned that Valentines Day is much better spent with other girlfriends who appreciate doing stuff just to make you feel special - because we all deserve to feel special!

Guess Where I Am - My Mini-Holiday!

It's been a while, where am I? You'll never guess..
IM IN SINGAPORE!!

Just arrived, checked into my hotel on Orchard Rd, and I'm lovin it!

It's been a busy month for everyone, a non-stop escapade from Chinese new year, gambling, house visiting... With all that going on I havnt been on the net in weeks (and it feels great).

And now... my mum's here! Her first time visiting Malaysia. Yep, so now I'm holidaying in Singapore with my mum. That means no shopping, no chillaxing at cool places, just lots and lots of boring sightseeing, early mornings and walking around outside getting sunburnt. Ok, well I guess local tours are prerequisite of a first visit, so I shant complain.

I'm only here for two nights, and I'll give you the downlow on my trip when I get back (coz I know you're SO interested).
