Happy Mid-Autumn/ Lantern/ Mooncake Festival!

I was reminded earlier (coz I totally forgot) that today is Mooncake Day Mid-Autumn Festival day. Today marks the autumn equinox; the middle between autumn and spring (which in Australia means super cold, but in the Northern Hemisphere means hot hot hot, except in Malaysia where its always the same).

This is the day that Chinese people (and some others) celebrate when the moon is supposed to be super round and big. Since Malaysia is nearly always overcast, there is no guarantee that i'll be able to confirm for you guys that theres actualy is a big, huge, full moon tonight. I guess my Aussie bro's down there could?

So at this time of year we light lanterns and eat mooncakes, which I've seen laying around my kitchen. Those darn mooncakes, they look so cute, attracting my attention in shopping centers and tempting me to buy them. Ahhh I wanted some durian mooncakes, why did Yen Sun put that idea into my head!

Last weekend my house celebrated with a BBQ, tonnes of little brothers friends came over, but since I'm a loner my only friend was Alvin (technically he was Wes's friend >_<). I had fun lighting lanterns for the first time, and getting annoyed having to relight them super often.
